Girl Scout Troop 1267 Earns Bronze Award with Community Drive

By Katie Maguire | July 12th, 2025

We are incredibly proud of the Juniors from Girl Scout Troop 1267 in Gilbert as they have embarked on their journey to earn the Bronze Award, one of the highest honors a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. This award celebrates their dedication to leadership, teamwork, and making a real difference in the world. To earn their award, the troop has partnered with The Good Works Project. Through this collaboration, they're not only learning about service and compassion but also discovering the powerful impact that local organizations like The Good Works Project have on our community.

As part of their project, the girls are organizing a Shorts & Shower Drive to collect new shorts and shower supplies for children living in congregate care (group homes). This is a crucial effort, as these items are in high demand and will provide essential support to those who need it most.

This troop created a flyer to raise awareness for the drive and collected shorts, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants and body soap from generous friends and family members. We are excited to see them take the lead on this project and truly make a positive impact.
